A few days in San Diego visiting Legoland with Lyle’s uncle Scott. We also checked out our old neighborhood and visited several of the playgrounds we used to go to a lot when Lyle was a toddler.

Sunrise in Bryce Canyon…on the left is how it looked before the sun rose. On the right you can see the brilliant orange glow that everything took on the moment the sun peeked over the horizon. Early morning start to our Angels Landing hike. Cars aren’t allowed on the main road through Zion in summer, so you park at the visitor center and take a shuttle to the trailhead.
Two more incredible national parks in Utah. These include pics from two great hikes–Angels Landing and the Virgin River Narrows, both in Zion. It was a great active family vacation. We left town the day after school got out and spent ten days exploring the national parks in southern Utah. The pictures in this post are from Arches, Canyonlands, Moab, Capitol Reef, Boulder, and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Aren’t the slot canyons incredible??
