Another set of mostly hiking photos from around Boulder. I’m loving spending so much time outdoors! On the first day of May, I climbed Bear Peak (8459′ at the summit) with a friend during an epic snowstorm. It was the most wintery ascent I’ve ever done (of any mountain), and it happened in May. Boulder, I love you. Just a week later all that snow was gone and I was back up on Bear Peak on a beautiful, clear day that looked completely different. Photos from several hikes interspersed with two snowstorms at the end of April. It’s never boring in Boulder! As of the end of April I had hiked 267 miles so far in 2016. I’ve been training for a 5-peak traverse (hiking Boulder’s five highest peaks from south to north) that’s coming up in two weeks. Can’t wait! Pics from a snowy weekend in Colorado Springs with friends a couple weeks ago. We stayed at the amazing Broadmoor Hotel, which is a destination unto itself. |
