I’ve been on the East Coast for the past week. It was a good trip, but I am so happy to be home in San Diego again today. What an amazing place this is. I love seeing the palm trees outside the airport when I walk off the plane. It’s a nice welcome home.
I’m nearly done proofing the photos from the mini-sessions I did in Texas a couple weeks ago. I should have everyone’s galleries up within the next day or two. For now, here are some quick sneak peeks at what’s to come.
I’m home in San Diego now and I’ve had a chance to start proofing the sessions from last weekend in Texas. I have only barely begun, and I’m headed out of town again next week so it’ll take me a while to finish, but I just had to share this outtake from one family that I met. This poor boy was so shy and not up for having some random stranger take his picture. His sister tried to help out during one of the sibling shots. How funny is this???
So I’m in Texas, right? And it’s spring, and bluebonnets are the state flower, and they’ve started to bloom. So we went out the other morning on a drive to find fields of bluebonnets for some photos. We got up nice and early (6:30 am!) to take advantage of the beautiful morning light, only to end up with major clouds and not a drop of sunlight anywhere. And there weren’t even many bluebonnets out yet in the area we went to! They were just starting to pop up…it was obvious that the fields are going to look amazing in another week or two, but for now, not a lot to see.
We managed to find at least one small good patch of them, so I plopped my son here and took a photo.
I flew to Dallas yesterday for a long weekend, but my luggage took a side trip without me. My toddler got airsick and threw up on me as we were landing (thank DOG it was only at the very end) and I had no clothes to change into! It wasn’t really as bad as it sounds, but I was missing my luggage last night for sure.
This morning I got up early and MAN was it cold! I had a series of photo shoots this morning up at a park in Allen, and the first ones were definitely chilly, but luckily it warmed up quickly. I met some super cute kids today, and I am SO EXCITED about the photos I got of them. Thanks to everyone who came out for photos! I think I got some great shots. I can’t wait to start proofing these (once I get back home). I’ll share a few here for sure.

Remember this adorable boy I from a couple weeks ago whose mom was thinking about cutting his hair? But then she didn’t end up doing it after all?
Well guess who we ran into at the playground the other day…with short hair!!! I think he looks super cute, and a lot older all of a sudden, too.
